From a very young age, DJ Smartiez path was built. He had all the skills & knowledge to become something big in the music industry. But what really intrested him, was DJs. The way they could manipulate, remix, speed up a track to make something unique & creative. Earlier influences such as Kid Capri & DJ Jazzy Jeff. Local Toronto DJs such as KC & The Sunshine Crew, DJ Starting From Scratch & Baby Blue Soundcrew all provide that mental encouragement that pushed Smartiez to work towards becoming one of the biggest party DJs.
He loves all music especially the early days such as the OLD SCHOOL music. The Bobby Browns, Tribe Called Quest were all part of Smartiez introduction to music in the beginning of his life. His knowledge of music always intensified as he grew up. His intrest in music expanded when he moved on to making remixes & making his own beats. But he will always have love for whats always been his passion. Thats to DJ. Make people dance & have a great time.
